Wisdom Council of the Starlit Well

Wisdom Council of Starlit Well started with a call on January 13, 2015 from a Producer to practicing witch and teacher Lady Chaw B. R. Moon, looking for a coven that was to be filmed for a reality television show nicknamed, The Love’n coven. Although Chaw's own coven, Clan Of the Blood Moon decided not to be included in the show, they did think it offered an unique opportunity to promote a positive image of the craft as long as the right people were involved in the making.  With help of Chaw's Clan Elders, a collective group of Witches, Priestess, Druid/Shaman-womens, seers and healers gathered March 24th of 2015 to film their first ritual together. While the Loven Coven's Sizzle-reel of this rituals and interviews sent to networks and directors, the group started to work together as well as to hosted public events, such as  full moon rituals at Topanga Beach, Malibu, California along with Women's circles/innerworking on the New moon and special events at festivals/sabbaths. 

 

The Coven began to refer to themselves as The Council of Light, and then in February of 2016, we renamed ourselves as The Wisdom Council of the Starlit Well. The word “Council” was chosen because its members come from multiple magickal paths, have varying skills and many were becoming leaders within the community.  Instead of focusing on one tradition like typical covens do, we chose to celebrate our differences and unify to create a collective Council of Magick and spiritual enlightenment. The word “Light” was chosen to represent their desire to spread enlightenment and knowledge to the world.  The council modified the word light into Starlit, for the star light or stardust within all of us. The word well was added to represent the well of knowledge.

 

The grouped numbers fluctuated as the likelihood of the show diminished and the councils dynamic developed.  On January 29, 2017, after two years of practicing together the Council felt the need to have a formal initiation/bonding ceremony of the original founders that helped create the council.  These five people were including Chaw Moon-Starwell who became their first High Priestess chose to dedicate to the Wisdom Council of the Starlit Well and adhere thier own agreed a pawn bylaws.
