Join us as we extend out our love to our sister state across the sea and help them appease their Goddess. During this full moon we will give offerings to Madame Pele so that we may soothe her and the Kīlauea Volcano eruptions!
The full moon this Tuesday May 29, 2018 straddles the axis between the heart of the scorpion and the eye of the bull. The moon in this position highlights the forces of polarities, by increasing and reveal tensions of existing pressures. This full moon gives one an unique and powerful opportunity to seek balance, overcome tension and mend relationships.
A current relationship that needs balance is the relationship of Madame Pele and the Hawaiians living on the big island of Hawaii. The name of Hawaii means "Place of the Gods,” and many that live on and off the islands still hold onto their ancient respect and reverence to their Gods that control the natural elements around them. The active volcano Kīlauea is said to be the Goddess Madame Pele’s home, which has increased activity this month by opening fissures and erupting huge plumes of ash. So far it has destroyed 40 structures and 10,000 residences have been affected by evacuations.
Chaw Moon-Starwell and the Wisdom Council of the Starlit Well invite you to join them at this Full Moon ceremony. Together we will send out love and offerings as part of a ritual that will help appease Pele and bring balance and harmony to the island of Hawai'i. We ask those in Los Angeles and the surrounding areas to join us as we gather on the coast to connect and give offerings to Pele-honua-mea ("Pele of the sacred land,") so that we could live at peace with "She who shapes the sacred land."

Offerings to Madame Pele Full Moon Ritual
Tuesday, May 29th
7:00-8:00pm Ritual
8:00-9:30 pm Dinner at the Reel
Topanga State Beach, 18700 Pacific Coast Hwy. (just north of Topanga Canyon Blvd.), Malibu Ca.
Price: $5-15 donation much-welcomed! (Not required in order to participate)
Bring:
- Blanket or folding chair
- NO Potluck item - we will warm ourselves and ground/feed our body at the Reel INN restaurant.
Wear:
- red and white
- Warm layers
Bathrooms:
Public restrooms are closed at the beach around this hour, so be sure to take care of business before you arrive!
Parking:
There is ample parking along the highway, in front of the parking lot adjacent to the beach, until 10:00 PM. DO NOT parking in the parking lot as it closes at sunset, and Parking Enforcement is strict with ticketing!
How to find us:
From the roadside, cross the parking lot and go down the staircase on the far left. You will find us on the beach to the left as you come off the stairs, just on the other side of the line of trees & bushes.
